Humbat Huseynov

Chairman of the National Association of  Town Municipalities of Azerbaijan

Humbat Huseynov was born on December 3, 1963. In 1981-1986, he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics of Azerbaijan Technical University. In 1994-1999, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Moscow State Social University. He began working as an engineer-technologist at the G. Musabayov-named machine-building plant in 1986 and continued through 1991. He served as the chief of the Khatai District Executive Authority's assistant from 1993 to 2000, and from 2000 to 2004, he was a specialist in the legal division of the Binagadi District Executive Authority.He ran for office in the republic's second convocation municipal elections in 2004 and won. He was elected to the posts of deputy mayor for economic problems from 2006 to 2009, as well as deputy chairman and chairperson. He participated in the republic's third convocation in 2009, and he was elected to the municipality in 2014 and became mayor of the convocation's fourth convocation. He won the election to lead the National Association of Azerbaijan Settlement Municipalities twice, in 2012 and 2015. He is also a representative of Azerbaijan at the Council of Europe's Congress of Local and Regional Authorities. He is a  technical sciences candidates.

Fluently speaks German, Russian and Turkish.
